Orizzonte 02: Carry the Scenery with You

Hideyuki Kishihara introduces the Orizzonte 02, a card case that beautifully captures the essence of the sea and sky. The fish leather, crafted from discarded yellowtail skin, represents the waves of the sea, while the gradient leather symbolizes the changing colors of the sky. The color variations, named "L'ora blu (Blue Hour)" and "Il notturno (Night Scene)," artfully depict the sea and sky of each hour.

The Orizzonte 02 is a testament to innovative design and sustainability. By utilizing fish skin that would otherwise have been discarded, Kishihara aims to reduce the burden on the environment. The traditional Japanese bellows manufacturing technique of "Fu-kin-machi" is employed to create a sleek and easily insertable card case.

The project commenced in November 2021, with samples completed in December 2022. Pre-orders for the Orizzonte 02 are set to begin in February 2023.

Hideyuki Kishihara's innovative approach to design has garnered recognition, with the Orizzonte 02 receiving the Iron A' Design Award in 2023. This prestigious accolade is a testament to the practicality, innovation, and professional requirements met by the Orizzonte 02.
