Hyena: Redefining Motorcycle Design for Extreme Environments

The Hyena motorcycle is a remarkable feat of engineering, crafted primarily from magnesium alloy and carbon fiber sheet to ensure durability and lightweight performance. Embracing the concept of the Internet of Things (IOT), the designer has introduced Hyena SNS (social networking services), enabling seamless information transfer among operators during critical operations.

The outer shell of Hyena utilizes magnesium alloy, known for its low casting defect rate and environmental friendliness, aligning with the industry's trend towards lightweight and eco-friendly vehicles. With dimensions of Width 1800mm x Depth 700mm x Height 1100mm, Hyena is designed to navigate extreme terrains with ease.

Hyena's innovative communication system employs three distinct warning tones, facilitating efficient and clear communication among operators in high-risk situations. This advanced communication mode also transmits location information and specific alerts to the command headquarters, ensuring swift and coordinated responses to evolving scenarios.

The project, initiated in Beijing in 2019, underwent rigorous testing at the key laboratory of environmental change and natural disaster, MOE, BNU in 2020, before its successful completion in early 2021.

Recognizing the pioneering nature of Hyena, Xiangzhi Zhao secured a patent (Patent No: 2021-F-00201795) for this groundbreaking design, further solidifying its unique position in the industry. This exceptional achievement was acknowledged with the Iron A' Design Award in 2021, underscoring Hyena's practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial standards.
