Mimidale Designs proudly presents the Ohgi ring, a stunning piece inspired by the Japanese Folding Fan, meticulously crafted with 18K Yellow gold and adorned with a round sapphire. The ring, designed by Mimaya Dale, is a symbolic representation of prosperity and cultural significance, drawing inspiration from the graceful shape and meaningful essence of the Japanese Folding Fan.

The Ohgi ring is a unique and eye-catching piece of jewelry, wearable in two distinct directions, offering a different look each way. Its design reflects the fusion of Eastern and Western influences, creating a meaningful and luxurious aura.

The design process involved the use of 3D jewelry software, 3D printing, and casting with 18K Yellow gold, resulting in a textured matte finish for the Folding Fan and a mirror-polished surface for the rest of the ring. The incorporation of a round sapphire adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the piece.

The project commenced in June 2019 in Vancouver and was completed in December 2019, with meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of the cultural and symbolic significance of the Japanese Folding Fan. Mimaya Dale, the designer, delved into extensive research to grasp the historical and cultural importance of the fan, drawing inspiration from its use in Japanese traditions and ceremonies.

Furthermore, the Ohgi ring has been recognized with the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category, underscoring its exceptional craftsmanship and profound cultural significance.
