Dexig.NA: Customizable Bag Design

Arin Jeong, a student of Hongik University, has designed Dexig.NA, a unique customizable bag inspired by the form of genes. The bag allows users to freely decorate it using patterns and magnets attached to each bag. The project started on March 16 and will be exhibited at the Hongik University exhibition place in LineaPelle, Italy in the spring of 2021.

The Dexig.NA bag is a twisted leather bag designed to resemble the form of genes. Users can express their personalities metaphorically through the customizable design, attracting attention and building relationships. The bag is made using cow leather, and the pattern is printed by digital printing on the leather. The bag measures 220mm*25mm*90mm and features a light magnet inside, allowing users to freely attach and detach patterns to create their own unique design.

Arin Jeong's Dexig.NA project was supported by Linea Pelle's leather and produced under the guidance of Professor Kanghyun Lee and Cheolyong Choi of Hongik University. The project was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2021 for its outstanding expertise and innovation, showcasing a remarkable level of excellence and introducing positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
