Unique Handcrafted Bangle with Adjustable Pearl Catch

Mandy Morris, a renowned jewelry designer from York, presents "String in the Tail" bangle, inspired by the mesmerizing movement of Siamese fighting fish. This unique piece combines figurative and abstract elements, featuring a 3-strand string of pearls as an adjustable catch, all handcrafted from repurposed 18ct white and yellow golds, adorned with natural yellow and white diamonds and pearls.

The bangle, designed in January 2021 and completed in April 2021, was exhibited at Goldsmiths' Hall, London, in May 2021, where it won four craftsmanship and design awards, including The Boodles Award for fine jewelry.

Featuring a cuff section measuring 65 x 33mm and weighing 33 grams, the bangle boasts a total diamond weight of 3.15ct, including intense/fancy natural yellow and F/vs white round brilliant cut diamonds. The adjustable string of pearls allows for a personalized fit, providing a soft touch against the skin and a playful element for the wearer.

Designer Mandy Morris, with her husband Thomas Carl Johnson, meticulously crafted this unique bangle, drawing inspiration from the movement and decoration of Siamese fighting fish. The piece was brought to life using traditional jewelry-making skills and new laser welding techniques, resulting in a stunning blend of fluidity and precision.
