FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Huili Jin's "Escape" is a unique work detachment garment inspired by the concept of psychological detachment after work. The garment allows wearers to effortlessly switch between on and off-work status through quick changes of clothes, promoting rest and relaxation. The design embodies sustainable fashion through zero-waste tailoring, achieving a "single piece in two-way dressing" and minimizing fabric waste during production.
Utilizing innovative technology, "Escape" features a swift switch mechanism, enabling wearers to transform formal work outfits into casual leisure wear within seconds. The garment's zero-waste cutting techniques ensure minimal fabric waste, aligning with the principles of sustainable fashion.
The project, which commenced in February 2023 and concluded in May 2023 in Beijing, culminated in a showcase at the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology Graduate Fashion Show in June 2023.
Huili Jin, a fashion designer based in London, is dedicated to integrating sustainable practices with a focus on the female wearing experience. With a vision to liberate clothing from the fast-paced fashion world, Jin aims to prioritize the comfort and sensation of wearing garments, viewing clothing as a second skin that offers wearers deeper layers of significance.
