Renowned Turkish designer Esra Erciyes has achieved international acclaim by winning the Platinum A' Design Award 2025 in the Jewelry Design category for her visionary creation, "Secret of Eternity." This transformative piece, which functions as both a necklace and a brooch, draws inspiration from the Turritopsis Dohrnii jellyfish, famed for its ability to reverse its life cycle and achieve biological immortality. The design's rotating curves and integrated LED lights evoke the endless cycle of life and the purity of energy, while its elegant form wraps gracefully around the neck, ending at the jugular to symbolize the source of life.

Developed over a year in Istanbul and first unveiled at the 13th Next Horizon Jewelry Design Competition, "Secret of Eternity" stands out for its unique blend of advanced technology and artistic craftsmanship. Crafted in 18K gold using the Matrix 3D program and ajour technique for lightness, the piece incorporates a motorized mechanism and gears, allowing for 360-degree vertical rotation that mimics the organic movement of marine life. The pendant can be detached and worn as a brooch, and the entire piece is illuminated by LED lights powered by a battery, with future plans for solar energy integration to enhance sustainability.

The design process was marked by significant technical challenges, including the seamless integration of movement and lighting without compromising aesthetics. Through multiple prototypes and innovative engineering, Erciyes succeeded in creating a wearable work of art that bridges the gap between the mechanical and the organic. The jewelry's hypnotic movement, diamond accents, and futuristic aesthetic have captivated audiences at the Istanbul Jewelry Show, Yon Kuyumculuk, and ongoing exhibitions by the Jewelry Exporters Association. "Secret of Eternity" not only redefines the boundaries of jewelry design but also serves as a symbol of resilience, regeneration, and the infinite possibilities of creative vision.
