Bruce Tao's "Donut" desk lamp is a unique and adorable lighting solution that integrates the switch into its donut-shaped design, offering a seamless and cute way to interact with light. The lamp's bulb is donut-shaped, providing a rare and charming look. The switch is discreetly integrated into the donut, allowing users to simply put their hand on the donut and gently push to switch the lamp on and off, as well as adjust its brightness. This innovative design aims to enhance the user's experience with lighting.
The "Donut" desk lamp features a lampshade made of linen, creating an elegant and romantic ambiance, making it suitable for bedroom use. The soft lighting from the cloth lampshade helps to build a warm and cozy atmosphere while also being gentle on the eyes. The lamp's dimensions are 15cm in length, 15cm in width, and 30cm in height, making it a versatile and compact lighting solution for various spaces.
This unique desk lamp design was a result of a project that commenced in September 2020 in Milan and concluded in February 2021. The "Donut" lamp was exhibited in China in February 2021, showcasing its innovative and charming design to a wider audience.
