Angela Spindler's Hightail

Renowned designer Angela Spindler unveils Hightail, an innovative packaging design for a motorbike helmet accessory. Inspired by the concepts of freedom and simplicity associated with riding motorbikes, Hightail offers greater freedom with hair and ease of use, directly translated into the packaging. The sleek multi-layered film pouch contains the product, attachment clips, spacer, and a how-to brochure, meeting all client requirements.

Spindler's team, including Anna Lee and Anneke Decker, meticulously crafted the packaging to have unisex appeal, reusability, high product visibility, and lightweight for cost-effective freight. The pouch features a zip lock closure for easy reuse, making it a practical and innovative solution for motorbike enthusiasts.

The design, realized using gravure and offset printing, incorporates PET foil, PE foil, and coated paper board, printed with spot colors and matte and gloss varnishes. The project, spanning from 2017 to 2019 in Sydney, Australia, involved extensive research on bike riders' behavior and attitudes to effectively communicate the product's benefits.

Recognized for its excellence, Hightail was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2022, acknowledging its well-designed, practical, and innovative nature that meets professional and industrial requirements, contributing to a better world.
