Waves Necklace: A Celebration of Womanhood

Anna-Reetta Väänänen's Waves necklace is a tribute to the diversity of womanhood, drawing inspiration from the flowing waves of water and hair. The necklace's unique design reflects the curves of a woman, creating a luxurious yet lightweight accessory that complements any attire.

The necklace, made from recycled sterling silver in Sonkajarvi, Finland, showcases artisanal skills, with its suede-like matte surface achieved through the needle matt technique. The design process involved handcrafting the original wax prototype and employing lost wax casting to create the final piece.

The Waves necklace measures 475mm in length, with the option for customization, and weighs 85g. Its adjustable length makes it suitable for women of different sizes, adding approximately 2cm with each piece. The design, awarded the Silver A' Design Award, is a testament to Väänänen's dedication to creating meaningful and enduring jewelry.
